Happy Valentine’s Day!: Sunday is St. Valentine’s Day, a day that has its roots in Rome, where it was a tradition to give handwritten messages of admiration that included Valentine’s name. St. Valentine is the Patron Saint of Love, Young People and Happy Marriages. Happy Valentine’s Day!
Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 17. Lent is a period of 40 days that we set aside for prayer, fasting, and almsgiving (doing good things for others). Lent is a season of growth. May we all grow during this season of preparation for Easter, the greatest feast in the Church, when we celebrate Jesus’ rising from the dead! We will attend Mass at 8:30 a.m. and you are welcome to join us!
Stations of the Cross: During Lent, the students will lead the Stations of the Cross every Friday at 9:15am. These Stations make it possible for all of us, young and old, to see how we can align our lives to that of Jesus on his sorrowful walk to the Cross. Please join us!
Fish Fry: We have our first Fish Fry scheduled for next – Friday, February 19th. Please join us for a delicious fish dinner. Please contact us if you are able to help out.
Mr. Lloyd: Mr. Lloyd Himebauch’s birthday is February 24. I am sure he would like to hear from you. If you would like to send a card or note, please drop if off in the office by February 19th and I will make sure he receives it.
