Catholic Schools Week will be celebrated this year from January 31 to February 5. A calendar of events is attached. This year will be rather low key due to our restrictions.
Hot Lunch Change: The hot lunch for Wednesday, January 27 as been changed to chicken alfredo (instead of spaghetti)
Spelling Bee: The 5th grade winners are: Greyson Olson (first place); Braylon Martenson (second place); and Bella Waterman (third place) The 6th grade winners are: Cheyanna Spang (first place); Gabby DiMario (second place) and Mary Crockett (third place). The 7th grade winners are: Alessandra Jess (first place), Sloane Hayes (second place); and Matthew Solomon (third place). The 8th grade winners were Addison Parish (first place) and Ellie Sullivan (second place). The overall spelling bee winners will representing St. Mary’s School: Alessandra Jess, Sloane Hayes and Matthew Solomon. The Regional Bee will be at the City Opera House in Traverse City on March 20.
January 29: We have a full day of school on this day. The Public School has remote learning. There is no bussing on this day. Help needed: We are still looking for help on Fridays for lunch duty.
