School Uniforms
School uniforms are required for Grades K-8th. Students must wear khaki bottoms and a navy blue polo shirt. Socks must be worn in the colors of solid navy, solid white, or solid grey. Belts must be worn by students in Grades 2nd on up. Middle school students have expanded uniform choices. Please see pages 15-18 in our handbook for more details: 2024-2025 Parent Handbook.
Preschool-Pre Kindergarten (Young Fives) are not required to wear school uniforms.
Purchasing your Uniform
St. Mary School partners with Land’s End for monogrammed uniform selections and the plaid skirt/jumper option, as well as the new middle school uniform.
Please visit Land’s End to make your purchases. Enter your child’s gender and grade level for appropriate uniform selection. Other popular stores where uniform pieces can be found are: Kohls, Old Navy, the Gap, and French Toast.
St. Mary School also has a “uniform closet” of gently used uniforms where parents can swap sizes for their children. There is no cost for this service.
St. Mary School & Guardian Spirit Wear
We have a variety of t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and other apparel available for purchase through our “bookstore”. Our in-person store dates/hours will be available soon. For more information or to make purchases outside of store hours, please email our marketing department at: marketing@stmaryschoolcharlevoix.org
Jean Days
Once per month we schedule a Jean Day. Students can wear any St. Mary School/Guardian shirt with jeans by providing cash or a non-perishable donation for the Charlevoix Community Food Pantry. Please guide your students toward appropriate attire that reflects our Christ-centered environment. Through the years, our students and their families have donated thousands of dollars to our local food pantries and other worthy charitable causes.
Catholic Schools Week
During Catholic Schools Week, staff and students are able to celebrate their St. Mary School pride and Catholic Schools pride! Our school spirit day themes change year to year. Some of our students’ favorite spirit days are PJ Day, Class Color Day, and Vocations Day. A list of spirit days will be provided to school families in January with further detail.
